The EFOY Pro fuel cell runs on methanol. Today, methanol is increasingly being produced from renewable energy sources such as second-generation biomass (organic waste) or even from household waste. That makes using the EFOY Pro fuel cell a CO²-neutral proposition. An EFOY fuel cell’s only “emissions” are water vapor and carbon dioxide in an amount comparable to a child’s breath.

Recharges within seconds

The EFOY Pro fuel cell draws it energy from EFOY fuel cartridges. The practical cartridges are available anywhere. You can replace an empty fuel cartridge in a matter of seconds, even while the fuel cell is running, thus assuring that you will have enough power for several days. You can recycle empty fuel cartridges. Should your EFOY run out of fuel en route, you won’t be stuck: thanks to the hybrid design, the battery will still have enough charge to take you 20 to 30 kilometers until you can take a full cartridge on board again.

Fully automatic, always available

The EFOY Pro’s built-in regulator perpetually monitors battery voltage. Should it dip below a certain threshold, the EFOY Pro fuel cell will cut in automatically to recharge the battery. Once it’s recharged, the EFOY Pro fuel cell reverts to standby mode – again, fully automatically. There’s nothing else to worry about because the EFOY Pro fuel cell makes sure that the battery is always charged. Your vehicle will be ready to roll – anytime.
